Since 2007, the IRDA has implimented changes in the Health Insurance policies doing away with compulsary overnight admission in select cases.

All insurance companies, Public and Private, have an exhastive list of Day Care Surgery cases, which encompases several surgical cases.

Please read the insurance policy that you have and you will be able to identify weather your case is listed or not. Ask your insurance agent or better still, call the Insurance company Help line directly or Log on to their wesite to confirm the inclusion of Day Surgery cases.
